SEX SCANDAL EXPLODES
AT AIR FORCE ACADEMY
SECRETARY ROCHE, GEN. DALLAGER
DO “DAMAGE CONTROL”
AS JOBS MAY BE ON THE LINE
LIST OF “VICTIMS” GROWS

Already the media is calling it another “Tailhook,” the sex scandal that nearly sunk the Navy some 12 years ago.

Revelations that dozens of female cadets may have been raped or sexually assaulted while the “brass” looked the other way, has rocked the U.S. Air Force Academy to its very foundations.

Air Force Secretary James Roche, who has done everything but put on a dress and join N.O.W. (National Organization for Women) to take “the heat” off himself, knows Navy Secretary H. Lawrence Garrett, III was fired not long after the Tailhook scandal made national headlines. Roche does not want history to repeat itself.

For now, Roche – one of the weakest, most ineffectual service secretaries in years – is in special peril because the politicians will be looking for “scapegoats” to blame for the scandal. Roche is not calling for the ouster of Academy Superintendent, Lt. Gen. John Dallager – at least not yet. But that day may not be far off.

Probably the first “head to roll” will be that of the academy’s second-in-command, Brig. Gen. Taco Gilbert III. He had the misfortune of telling a female cadet, who claimed to have been “raped,” that her own behavior was partially to blame. She had admitted drinking at a party and participating in a game of “strip poker.”

But no “slack” will be cut for the general. The politicians “smell blood” and so do the media. While some of the complaints may be bogus, because of the sheer numbers of them – 54 to date – a majority have to be legitimate. And that underlines the academy is not doing its job of protecting female cadets from sexual assault.

The Air Force Academy’s recent history of sex scandals indicates this was a problem long in the making.

In the last few years, an academy chaplain was kicked out after having an affair with a female cadet; a male cadet, David Graham, was convicted of murder in the shooting death of a teenage girl; a female professor at the Colorado Springs facility, Capt. Christine Fioro, was court-martialed for having sex with two of her students; numerous cadets have been busted on drug charges; and one cadet, Robert Ryan Burdge, was court-martialed for sodomizing a 13 year-old girl.

As one inside source told MilitaryCorruption.com, “I wouldn’t be surprised if the words BRING US MEN are chiseled off the wall. This scandal will only get worse. And careers will be ruined. The brass can’t hide this one any more.
