How far we have fallen, indeed!
On a day we honor those heroes who stormed the beaches at Normandy in World War II to free Europe from the yoke of Nazi tyranny, we now have a “commander-in-chief” who incredibly has traded five top Taliban killers – long term prisoners at Gitmo, very dangerous guys with American blood on their hands – for a punk deserter.
There is no disputing now that SGT Bowe Bergdahl “walked way” from his Army unit in Afghanistan and actively sought out the Taliban. It is safe to say that, at the very least, several American soldiers lost their lives in an effort to locate him.
Reports continue to filter out of Afghanistan that this rat converted to Islam while in “captivity,” and took the name of “Abdullah.” FOX NEWS cites United States intelligence documents that disclose Bergdahl was so cozy with the Taliban that he was allowed to carry a loaded weapon and joined in AK-47 target practice!
MAINSTREAM MEDIA BREAK RANKS WITH BAM
NBC News, once Obama apologists (MSNBC still maintains the fiction the Idaho-born G.I. was a “prisoner-of-war”) even reported that when the Taliban found him alone walking the road, Bergdahl was said to be “cursing his countrymen.”
Members of the sergeant’s unit told CNN that radio intercepts picked up by the Americans indicated that Bergdahl had indeed deserted and was in a nearby Afghan village actively seeking out the Taliban.
Is that the behavior of someone who has “served this country with honor and distinction?” How about Susan Rice’s blatant lie that Bergdahl was a prisoner-of-war “captured on the field of battle?” Have we reached the point in the Obama Administration when such obvious falsehoods are regularly spewed with no concern at all for the truth?
AMERICANS OVERSEAS NOW FATTER TARGET
By his actions, Obama has put a target on the back of every American service-member overseas with his “five-for-one” trade. Already, Taliban spokesmen have told the media they will try even harder to grab-up our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines. Why not, when they know they can get top commanders freed at so cheap a price?
Some of our readers have e-mailed MilitaryCorruption.com to say: “Why didn’t we just leave the bastard (Bergdahl) there?” Susan Rice and her ilk will spout: “Oh, but we never leave an American service member behind.” Oh, yeah?
Seems several hundred Americans were left to rot and die in Southeast Asian prison camps after the official conflict in Vietnam ended some 40 years ago. Many of us who were there will never forget that.
“WAG THE DOG” BLOWS UP IN OBAMA’S FACE
When BAM did his “wag-the-dog” routine in the White House rose garden with Bergdahl’s weirdo parents, he thought: “How smart I am! I’m getting the V.A. scandals off the front pages and I will be praised as a great leader.”
BULLSHIT! You just made the biggest mistake of your life!
Please, dear reader, go to YouTube and watch HUSSEIN suddenly break into a grin as Bergdahl’s bearded father starts his Arabic, “Allah is God, Allah is great” routine.
Didn’t the President of the United States have access to the government intelligence reports that – as early as 2010 – indicated Bergdahl was a deserter and possible collaborator with the enemy? If he did know that, then why did he let Taliban killers go free? Shame on him!
A SLAP-IN-THE-FACE TO VETERANS EVERYWHERE
It is enough to make an old combat veteran, especially one disabled and dying from his wounds, weep in anger and frustration.
Where do his loyalties really lie? Obama has crapped in the face of millions of Americans, past and presently in uniform, willing to fight and, if necessary, die for our country.
Those genuine heroes of D-Day, the Sixth of June 1944, must be spinning in their graves!
