HE WAS ACQUITTED - JURY FINDS WEST POINT

The best break West Point Cadet Colton Horton got, was going on trial in front of a civilian jury. If he actually did the crime, we say "lock him up." Rape is a big no-no, usually resulting - upon conviction - in at least thirty years in prison. But, thank God, it didn't end up that way.
Holton, a 22 year-old senior cadet from Tulsa, Okla., had been back home in the Panhandle State when the so-called "rape" occurred. He told the CID he and the unidentified "victim" had been drinking that night in July when they had consensual sex. "At no time early on, did she ask me to stop," the former USMA "Sprint" football player told an MCC reporter.
Thus you can imagine the cadet's surprise when he was arrested the following day.
FOGGY MEMORIES OF WHAT WENT ON
The cadet and she had sex after an alcohol-fueled weekend at the campus of the University of Tulsa. That, both parties agree to, but the accuser said she told Horton to STOP, but he kept on "raping" her. A classic case of "she said - he said" we think.
The unidentified "victim" was pretty hazy as to what went on, since she admits being drunk on wine and feeling like she wanted to pass out when she asked her date to take her home.
"I felt uncomfortable" the coed said, and before one can shout "frame-up," he'd been arrested.
Fortunately, for the cause of justice, a civilian jury panel sitting in Tulsa County, Oklahoma came back with the proper verdict They voted for acquittal. Horton has his life back.
A West Point spokesperson told us "Horton has been acquitted and will rejoin his fellow cadets in the Class of 2018." Thank God for that!
