TO BECOME MEDICAL OFFICER
Well, boys and girls, this is what's called in the trade "a blind item." And the subject of our spotlight is a certain "spoiled brat" who is no stranger to journalism. She's said to be a real "whiz" with the camera.
This senior airman works at Hurlburt Field in a high-profile position. Her connections are such that she got a mere slap-on-the-wrist after being found guilty of two counts of having an "inappropriate relationship" and one count of adultery, while posted to Iraq. The pampered one got only a letter of reprimand and has to wait a bit longer to pin on staff sergeant insignia.
The male USAF personnel involved with her didn't fare as well. All three were kicked out of the Air Force. So much for fair and equal justice.
HURLBURT "HOTBED" FOR HYPOCRISY AND ILLICIT AFFAIRS
Adultery and sexual affairs have been rampant for years at the Florida military installation. Some people get hammered when caught, but many get away with such misconduct. One married civilian female, a mid-40's Paris Hilton lookalike, has had a series of affairs (all officers) on base over the years, but continues to work there with total impunity. That's why the words "hypocrisy" and Hurlburt Field easily go together.
Get this. Despite the enlisted female's above-mentioned unlawful activities and "public affairs," the Air Force at Hurlburt is getting ready to give her a commendation medal.
That seems to have emboldened the less-than-humble one, who recently bragged she has a "chief" under her finger who has promised to work his connections to get her into a commissioning program. She even predicted her LOR would "disappear."
Nothing like having the goods on people in high places. Whoever is protecting her, it's bad for morale when others see this clever airman getting preferential treatment. Why are they working so hard to cover-up her transgressions? And is this the type of person the Air Force needs as a medical officer?
We think not. |
