Four days after the slaughter at Benghazi, David Petraeus mouthed the official line that the fatal attack that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans Sept. 11, was caused by some wacky anti-Muslim videotape.

However, 48 hours prior to the CIA director's politically-correct pronouncement, his own station chief on the ground in Libya, went on record that the armed assault was "a terrorist act."

Can't have anything occur to upset the illusion that the Obama Administration had such enemies of our country on the run. Were votes more important than American lives? Family members of the slain described Obama as "cold" and "insincere" when meeting them and offering "condolences" after the murdered Americans' bodies were flown back home to Dover (AFB) Delaware.

FBI WELL AWARE OF AFFAIR FOR MANY MONTHS

MilitaryCorruption.com has learned the FBI were onto Petraeus's affair as far back as February.

A Bureau source told ace reporter Ron Kessler "the decision was made to delay his resignation until after the election to save the President embarrassment." For Petraeus to remain in such a sensitive position, where he was vulnerable to potential blackmail for months, "compromised the nation's security and is inexcusable," an agent said.

If Obama's cheerleaders in the mainstream media, especially Andrea Mitchell - who assured MEET THE PRESS that she was certain the President knew nothing of the Petraeus affair until the day after the election - can dismiss dissenters and skeptics as "conspiracy theorists" - the cover-up may succeed.

"Nothing to see here, folks. Move right along." How many times have liars in high places used that line to silence those who honestly distrust their government?

PETRAEUS MAY STILL HAVE TO TESTIFY UNDER SUBPOENA

How convenient for Hussein - the timing of his CIA chief's sudden resignation - just days before he was slated to be grilled under oath before an investigating committee. If Obama thinks Petraeus can avoid such testimony, he's badly mistaken.

The Republicans still control the House of Representatives and will demand the onetime "golden boy" general show up at Congressional hearings. Likewise, the same, for soon-departing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Obviously she doesn't want to be asked why the State Dept. didn't heed pleas for help in beefing up security at the besieged consulate in Benghazi. A subpoena may be necessary to get her to the witness stand.

Petraeus might take the fall for Obama, but Clinton will not. Nothing is going to upset her plans to reign in the White House come 2016.

Someone gave the order to "stand down" and not come to the rescue of the Americans in the Benghazi consulate. If it wasn't Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, it had to be the "commander-in-chief" himself. That fateful decision, assuring the death of four Americans, could have been made to avoid another Jimmy Carter Delta Force fiasco in the the desert, such as in 1980, when aircraft collided and U.S. military personnel killed before they could reach Tehran to rescue Americans held hostage in the embassy there.

Is Obama so cruel and calculating he would put his re-election ahead of rescuing Americans in peril? You, dear reader, will have to make that decision for yourselves. But the president flying off to Las Vegas to raise more money to remain in power at the same time Benghazi went down, doesn't sit well with the slain's family survivors.

MISTRESS A LIGHT COLONEL IN USAR
COULD FACE UCMJ ACTION

Paula Broadwell, the beautiful but arrogant mistress of Gen. Petraeus, is a West Point graduate. Class of 1995. She's also a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve. Will she get special treatment and a "slap-on-the-wrist?" At minimum, her security clearance should be yanked and she receive a reprimand for violating the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) regulation forbidding adultery.

If the staff here were in charge of her fate, she'd be court-martialed, busted back at least to the rank of captain, (she was still a major in 2010 when she became the general's gal pal), lose her security clearance, and thus ability to serve as a commissioned officer, and be put out of the military.

One question the apologists for "hero general" Petraeus - called "Gen. Betrayus" by some of his more caustic critics - needs to answer is this: According to the official story, a woman (unrelated to the general and not in government service) went to the FBI after getting threatening e-mails from Broadwell. Is this another female lover? How many women was the once-untouchable David Petraeus involved with, anyway?

PETRAEUS "BETRAYED" WIFE

The most innocent victim of all this is his wife. The 60 year-old Holly Petraeus may look like "Aunt Bee" on the old Andy Griffith Show now, but she once was a babe like Broadwell. She was the general's wife for 38 years and raised two children. Holly deserves more than to be humiliated by her husband and his reckless flings with young, attractive women.

Maybe it's time for the ex-CIA director to dust off the regulations about officers retiring at the last grade "satisfactorily" served in. That means four-star general Petraeus, having sex with Broadwell while on active duty in Afghanistan in 2010 - 2011, could and should be reduced to three-star rank.

Ask Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair, currently charged with "forcible sodomy" among other things, what he thinks of the Petraeus sex scandal. You can be sure he knows he won't retain flag rank when his court-martial is over.
