What to do with the foxy Paula Broadwell? The Pentagon is faced with a very sticky situation.

The mistress of retired Gen. David Petraeus is a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve. That means she's subject to the rules of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

The 40 year-old West Point graduate and author of a fawning book on Petraeus - ALL IN (some wags tell us the title would be more accurate if it was changed to: ALL THE WAY IN) liked to brag she was "embedded" with the general for a year in Afghanistan.

If at any time during that year, Broadwell performed a two-week annual training, or was on TTAD (temporary tour of active duty), to say nothing of working out a deal to get credit for monthly weekend drills, yes, she could face legal action.

Adultery is crime in the military, when the brass want to enforce it.

THERE'S ALWAYS A SPREAD IN "PLAYBOY"

Probably it's unlikely she'll get more than a letter of reprimand (she's a USMA ring-knocker), but we don't know yet what the FBI has found on her impounded personal computers.

On the chance there was material there relating to national security, that would doom her USAR clearance. And without a security clearance, Broadwell could no longer serve as a commissioned officer. Her military career would come to a screeching halt.

Oh well, there's always another book, a high-paid TV interview, or spread in PLAYBOY.

Paula's not the most sympathetic person right now, when you think of poor Holly Petraeus. Popular with service families and everyone that knows her, the short, stout woman, who looks more like the general's "mom" than wife, has been more than humiliated. She and her husband have been wed 38 years and raised two children. All of us here at MilitaryCorruption.com hope she can save her marriage. We wouldn't blame her one bit if she took a barrel stave to her hubby's backside to teach him not to cheat on her again.
