It had been a bad week for Barak Hussein Obama. The growing V.A. Hospital scandal showed no signs of abating. His pal Eric Shinseki had to resign, and quick on the heels of that, White House press secretary and mouthpiece Jay Carney bailed out.
Time to cue the mainstream media to turn our attention in another direction.
As fast as you can say “photo opportunity,” there was BAM with the strange parents of “missing” Afghanistan soldier, SGT Bowe Bergdahl. who has been with the Taliban since 2009.
WHAT KIND OF A SWAP IS THIS?
The “commander-in-chief” announced that Bergdahl was back in United States control and would be coming home soon after medical tests were completed.
The now “recovered” GI’s father, sporting a long beard and speaking Arabic, welcomed his 28 year-old boy home.
Oh yes, there was the matter of five top Taliban prisoners at Gitmo that were swapped for Bergdahl’s freedom. They were very bad guys, indeed, but that’s OK. Because, as Obama incredibly stated “The United States of America does not ever leave our men and women in uniform behind.”
Really? That would be news to the hundreds of families of American P.O.W.s that never were returned or accounted for after the Vietnam war!
But what do you expect of a President who pronounces Marine Corps as Marine “Corpse?”
MICHAEL HASTINGS HAD IT RIGHT
Be sure to read the item in our related stories box, gang. You will remember, one of the greatest investigative reporters ever, the late Michael Hastings, was suicided in a fiery California car crash in 2013. Why?
Hastings posed a huge threat to not only the Obama administration, but the NSA, Pentagon, and other powers-that-be who don’t like truth-telling journalists, especially if they are honest liberals. And Hastings couldn’t be linked to the Tea Party by the lapdog media. His credibility was rock solid.
In ROLLING STONE, he quoted GI’s from Bergdahl’s unit saying the oddball private – he was later promoted to sergeant during his absence – who had studied ballet, Buddhism and Tarot cards in his teens, and read books on Zen meditation and Pakistan while his Army buddies ogled PLAYBOY – willingly walked away from his unit in Afghanistan.
When Hastings did that major article on Bergdahl, he got to meet the GI’s bizarre parents, and printed the following quotes from the soldier’s e-mails to his folks back in Idaho:
“The future is too good to waste on lies . . . life is way too short to care for the damnation of others, as well as spending it helping fools with their ideas that are wrong. I have seen their ideas . . . and I AM ASHAMED TO EVEN BE AN AMERICAN. They thrive in their sick, righteous arrogance.
” . . . The U.S. Army is the biggest joke the world has to laugh at . . . It is an Army of liars, backstabbers, fools and bullies . . . the few good sergeants are getting out as soon as they can, and telling us privates to do the same . . . The horror that is America is disgusting.”
WAS BERGDAHL “CAPTURED” OR DID HE DESERT?
Looking past all the hype and “feel good” public relations bull crap emanating from the White House rose garden, let’s consider this: Americans died searching for Bergdahl. Of that, you can be sure. Millions of dollars was expended on trying to locate him.If he was “captured” in combat, that is one thing. But if he intentionally left his unit on his own in a war zone – note he didn’t take his rifle, only some water, a compass and a knife – there’s a word for that. It’s called desertion.Did Obama trade five terrorists for a “traitor?”
It is obvious from all the hoopla BAM made of Bergdahl’s recovery, the missing GI will not face UCMJ charges once he gets back to the USA. The fact that he was promoted twice from PFC to SGT E-5 during his sojourn with the enemy sticks in the throats of many soldiers who have e-mailed us here at MilitaryCorruption.com.
Hagel will do whatever his boss BAM tells him to do. Whether laws were broken, Congress not notified when terrorists were released, or whatever, it just doesn’t matter. This is not George Orwell’s 1984. It is Obama’s 2014. Lesbians are getting married in the West Point chapel and the American military is at its weakest ebb since Vietnam.
