Don’t be fooled by the Army’s cosmetic decision to court-martial SGT. Bowe Bergdahl. We doubt if he will do one day behind bars in a U.S. military prison when all is said and done..
Obama has a lot invested in the dirt-bag GI. No one can ever forget the Rose Garden ceremony where BAM embraced Bergdahl’s weirdo parents and announced he had swapped five Taliban killers for America’s most infamous deserter.
At least six U.S. soldiers died searching for someone who willingly laid down his rifle and crossed over to the enemy. That didn’t stop left-wingers from crying crocodile tears over Bowe, even suggesting he get off with no jail time (see Related Stories Box below). America’s most controversial GI spent five years with the Taliban in Afghanistan after willingly leaving his post in Afghanistan in 2009.
It doesn’t look like he had too rough a time, from the un-retouched photo only MilitaryCorruption.com has dared to run. Unlike the mainstream media, we wear our “political incorrectness” like a badge of honor.
NO PRISON TIME FOR ARMY DESERTER
On paper, it looks bad for Bergdahl. If convicted of desertion and “misbehavior before the enemy,” theoretically, the “sergeant” could get a maximum penalty of life in prison. But we still think he will eventually walk. Can you spell PRESIDENTIAL PARDON, dear reader?
The decision to proceed to trial was made by GEN Robert Abrams, head of Army Forces Command at Fort Bragg, N.C. It came just a couple months after political officer and Obama flunkie, LTC Mark Visger, recommended Bergdahl receive a slap-on-the-wrist special court-martial and no incarceration.
In the end, Bergdahl will be rolling in greenbacks. There’s the book and movie deals. America’s leftists will use him for their own political purposes.
The biggest losers in this whole mess are the parents of the soldiers who died searching for a no-good deserter. They have already been “sentenced” to lifelong pain, mourning the loss of their love ones who tragically died for nothing.
