CPT WILL SWENSON + OBAMA

They say "a picture is worth a thousand words." After looking at the above, we have to agree.

You can see Army CPT Will Swenson is very serious indeed - no "grip and grin" with the commander-in-chief here.

Barack Hussein Obama half-smirks after placing America's highest valor award - the Medal of Honor - around the officer's neck.

There's a reason for him having that attitude. This ceremony wasn't supposed to take place.

ALMOST SCREWED

If disgraced former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, butt-kissing Gen. David Petraeus, and a handful of vindictive Army officers in Afghanistan had had their way, Will Swenson would never have received a medal at all.

You see, dear reader, CPT Swenson pissed off some powerful people when - in an after-action report following the bloody battle of the Ganjal Valley in September 2009 - he blasted the brass hats back in their air-conditioned tactical control center for denying him and his men artillery and air cover that the small group of soldiers, Marines and Afghan troops desperately needed in order to survive a Taliban ambush.

Five Americans and 10 Afghan fighters were slain in the fierce engagement.

As a result of Swenson's vigorous complaints, two headquarters officers were reprimanded. This adversely impacted their military careers. Since the two vengeful slugs had pals up and down the chain-of-command, CPT Swenson made a lot of enemies in a very short time.

SGT MEYER GETS HIS MEDAL OF HONOR

Marine SGT Dakota Meyer was also in the firefight at Ganjal, and in 2011 - amidst much hoopla at the White House - the junior NCO received the Medal of Honor from President Obama.

Since that time, there has been growing speculation in the media, especially by embedded reporter Jon Landay of McClatchy Newspapers (who covered the Afghan ambush) that Meyer's role in saving wounded troops and battling the enemy may have been somewhat exaggerated.

In other words, the Marine Corps public relations machine, no disrespect to the sergeant, may have "hyped" some of Meyer's reported heroics.

SWENSON DESERVED IT

There was never any question about Swenson's bravery battling the Taliban. A thick packet of eyewitness reports and other documentation was put together and sent forward to Kabul on the long, complicated road to Washington, D.C., the Pentagon, and final approval by the President of the United States.

It was at this point that something very curious and shameful happened to Swenson, who had loudly protested senior officer incompetence.

Evidence was uncovered in a later Inspector General investigation showing that an illegal attempt was made to downgrade Swenson's award to a Distinguished Service Cross. How come?

According to regulations, only the commander-in-chief himself can downgrade a MofH recommendation. The cowardly command back in Kabul had to know that.

Then the paperwork vanished.

No copy of it could be found in the High Command's computer system, so Swenson not only didn't receive the Medal of Honor for extreme valor, he didn't get any decoration at all! No medal of any kind - the bastards.

It seems the "troublesome" captain had been "paid back" by the pygmy officers whose cage he had rattled.

Sickened and disgusted by such a cruel and petty injustice, Will Swenson resigned his commission as an Army officer and returned to his hometown of Seattle, Wash.

McCLATCHY DESERVES PULITZER PRIZE

But word of the retribution leaked out to the media. Jonathan Landay of McClatchy Newspapers, (who we feel deserves a Pulitzer Prize for his diligence in digging out and reporting this story), other outlets, such as MilitaryCorruption.com (see "related stories box" below), and California Congressman Duncan Hunter got involved.

Political hack Panetta had given way to a new secretary of defense, but Republican renegade Chuck Hagel, "community organizer" and benefactor of David Petraeus, President Obama, remained. What to do now?

The much bemedaled (his highest "combat" decoration is the handout, Bronze Star Meritorious) four-star general, whose rows of ribbons run up to his shoulder-blade - with a dangling sword in scabbard, Petraeus would be a dead ringer for South American dictator Juan Peron - was having his sex romp with then-MAJ Paula Broadwell at the same time CPT Swenson's paperwork went "missing."

"I can't remember ever seeing it," BAM's Benghazi buddy told the IG's office.

Well, then how come the general's signature appeared on some of the documents when a partial copy surfaced later on, and a full copy was created out of the fragments?

To this day, Petraeus has come up with no explanation. But then, being a full general means you never have to say you're sorry, even when caught in an obvious lie.

THIS IS WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

We, at MilitaryCorruption.com can give you an explanation, however.

The "perfumed prince" knew Swenson wasn't a "team player," had made plenty of trouble for the high command in Kabul, and needed to be "dealt with."

By shit-canning the MofH packet, the brass hats succeeded in slapping down Swenson and, in effect, forcing him out of the Army. They hoped he would "go quietly."

But CPT Swenson, although now a civilian again, did not. Leaks about the gross injustice done him leaked out and the Pentagon and White House went in to "damage control."

A cover story would have to be concocted. Let's see, the paperwork was "mislaid." Yeah, that's the ticket.

Actually that's a damn lie, but it was as good a plausible denial and cover-up as the White House was going to get.

Thus, finally - four years after he repeatedly risked his life to save others - the Army captain who rallied Americans around him to repulse an overwhelming number of enemy soldiers, was at last getting the recognition and reward that had been so deceitfully denied him,

A STINK IN THE NOSTRILS

That is why a clearly uncomfortable Obama stood next to an unsmiling and frankly unfriendly Will Swenson Oct. 15 as the media covered a Medal of Honor presentation that the Pentagon thought would never happen.

Hagel lamely "apologized" to Swenson for the long "delay." But the captain knew the score. The look in his eyes - it was obvious he loathed standing next to the "commander-in-chief - told one and all what you needed to know about that "dog-and-pony" show.

A CAPTAIN PREVAILS

An infantry captain had defeated and embarrassed a corrupt Army chain-of-command. An absolute first in the annals of much-deserved combat awards falling by the wayside.

Swenson stood his ground like the great soldier he is. You could almost see his nostrils twitching at the stink emanating from the six-foot pile of manure standing right beside him.

Just as we were going to press with this Special Report, we were fortunate enough to obtain a video tape that brought a lump to our throat and tears to our eyes.

A KISS, AND THEN "GOOD-BYE"

Toward the end of the Ganjal firefight, helicopter crewmen who had landed to help evacuate the wounded, recorded on tape a scene so touching we had a hard time watching it.

CPT Swenson and a medic were seen half-carrying, half-dragging, a mortally-wounded U.S. Army sergeant to a waiting chopper. As the bleeding NCO sat upright a moment before being eased back onto a stretcher and flown out to a field hospital, one can see Swenson looking intently into the dying man's eyes, uttering a few words of encouragement, and then in a spontaneous scene of immense beauty, Swenson suddenly leaned forward and kissed the soldier's forehead, tapped his helmet "good-bye," and rushed back into the fight to save more lives.

CPT Will Swenson is an American hero. The "perfumed prince' is indeed not.
