AIR FORCE COL JOHN HOWARD The pretty boy (see pic) Air Force colonel apparently couldn’t keep it in his pants. And now he’s been fired as commanding officer of the 375th Air Mobility Wing at Scott Air Force Base. How the mighty have fallen.
John Howard had been on the job less than five months when he allegedly stepped on a certain part of his anatomy, sources say. Few details are available as of press time, and we don’t know if she is enlisted or officer. One thing is for sure, however. With the colonel wearing “chicken wings,” whoever the gal was, she didn’t outrank him.
A 1999 graduate of Tufts University in Boston, Mass., majoring in mathematics, the ex-commander was promoted to his present rank in June 2015. Only in his mid-40’s, Howard might have been a good candidate for ;promotion to flag rank someday, but after this incident (getting relieved), he can kiss that pipe dream good-bye. He’s got at least two years to go before he qualifies for a retirement pension, so it will be interesting to see what the Air Force does with him.
Prior to his latest assignment, Howard was vice commander of a refueling wing at Mildenhall Royal Air Force base in England. He was a National Security Affairs fellow from 2011 to 2012 at the Hoover Institution.
